Your First Visit
Dr. Summers will conduct a consultation to discuss your goals, medical history, and whether StemWave is right for you. A gel is applied to the treatment area, and the StemWave applicator delivers focused acoustic waves. The device can also be used as a diagnostic tool to pinpoint the primary location of pain before treatment begins. The session typically takes less than 10 minutes.
Does Treatment Hurt?
When the waves pass through healthy tissue, you may feel little to nothing. When they reach damaged tissue, you may experience manageable discomfort — but not enough to require numbing cream or anesthesia.
Your Care Plan
Although some patients feel improvement after their first visit, StemWave is not a one-and-done solution. Care plans commonly range between 8–12 sessions. Many patients see noticeable improvement after the first treatment, with significant progress after 3–4 visits. Dr. Summers will recommend a plan tailored to your specific needs.
